Reentrant ferromagnetism in very dilutePdFe

摘要

The static magnetization of a very dilutePdFe alloy containing 700hyphen;ppm Fe has been measured as a function of temperature, between 0.05 and 1.0 K, and in applied magnetic fields between 0 and 10 Oe. Comparison of the experimental data with numerical calculations based on a meanhyphen;field effectivehyphen;field model for bondhyphen;disordered systems with arbitrary spin suggests that the alloy is in the reentrant regime of the magnetic phase diagram. Measurement of the time dependence of the thermoremanent magnetization is consistent with a logarithmic, and possibly a stretched exponential, decay.
