Members of the human carcinoembryonic Ag (CEA) Ig-superfamily (CEACAM) interact with each other to modulate innate and adaptive immune responses.The Mandelboim group showed that CEACAM1 homophilic interactions inhibit NK cell lysis of melanoma cells.
