A recent incident - where a Safeload Coupler was discovered in the unlatched position but without loss of product -has prompted Fort Vale to alert the industry via a safety bulletin. Since then, customer feedback has indicated that this is a common problem and not unique to the Fort Vale model. When in the horizontal position, a glancing blow to the side of the coupler can result in the coupler becoming unlatched, which releases the handle interlock.
