Exportadora Aconcagua Limitada (ACONEX) is one of the oldest fruit exporting companies of Chile. its creation dates back to 1976, when Fernando Barros Freire associated a group of producers of the Aconcagua Valley with the object of seeking new markets where to export their fruit. During the first year the company exported 69,000 boxes of table grapes. During the following two decades it increased its exported volume to nearly 3.5 million boxes, mainly table grape, apples, kiwis and stone fruit, which are sent to 38 countries of the world.
