Questar Pipeline Requests FERC Certificate to Build Extension to Its Southern System in Order to Give Customers More Flexible Access to Uinta Basin Natural Gas Production in Utah

On 11/10/10 Questar Pipeline Co. (CP11-25) submitted to FERC an abbreviated application seeking authority to expand its interstate natural gas transmission system by constructing and operating approximately 24.6 miles of 24-inch diameter pipeline and related facilities. The Main Line (ML) 104 Extension to Fidlar Project (ML 104 Extension) will be built within Uintah County, Utah. The project purportedly will facilitate a negotiation or renegotiation of up to 160,000 dth/d service capacity using various receipt points near Fidlar, Utah, on Questar's southern transmission system for deliveries west to Questar Gas, a distributor, and to Kern River Gas Transmission at Goshen, Utah. The total estimated cost is $46,100,000. Questar requested a Commission decision by 5/2/11, in order that the ML 104 Extension may be constructed and placed in service by 11/1/11.
