Total sells mature Gabon stakes

Total has agreed to offload interests in 12 mature oil fields and a pipeline network in Gabon to UK-French independent Perenco for $350mn. The firm will exit four of the fields altogether. It will retain reduced stakes in the other eight, although it will transfer their operatorship to Perenco. Total will lose around 13,000 b/d of production through the sale. It will continue to hold interests in 14 fields in Gabon when the transaction completes.
