Kstovo—RusVinyl, a joint venture of Sibur Holding and Solvin, has inaugurated its new integrated polyvinyl chloride (PVC) project in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia (PCN, 11 Aug 2014, p 1). The project has the capacity to produce 330,000 t/y of PVC and 225,000 t/y of caustic soda. The facility is based on Solvay's technology and is designed for future expansion to 510,000 t/y of PVC and 335,000 t/y of caustic soda. Sibur's expanded Kstovo cracker is supplying the ethylene feedstock.
