STANDARDS

Standards — everyone's talking about them. There are standards to control the print process (ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 12647-2); sustainability (ISO 14001, FSC, PEFC) and Health & Safety (such as Food Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 or Children's Toys Regulation (EC) 1272/2008) and even improving business (Kaizen, Six Sigma etc) Some are mandatory, others voluntary but swayed by a need for efficiency and to meet customer expectations. Using standards and defined methods and procedures cuts out variables in the way printers work and in the methods used. It is this understanding that has shaped the technotrans' product portfolio of pressroom peripherals.
