BHP drops Merrill Lynch as London broker

SOURCES FAMILIAR with both companies confirm that BHP Billiton has dropped Bank of America Merrill Lynch as its broker in London, although they stress it is not as momentous a change as being indicated in some published reports. Neither company would comment officially. BHP has several institutions acting as executing brokers in London financial markets handling "City business."
