Humanitarian crisis : Huge losses to people & crops in Pakistan floods

AS WIDELY reported in the world’s media, the worst monsoon rains in 80 years are continuing to sweep across Pakistan. The flooding, which began on July 22, has submerged whole villages as well as destroyed huge swathes of farmland and damaged infrastructure like roads and bridges. The floods are continuing to spread with around a fifth of Pakistan reported to be now underwater.
