The Ohio river near Huntington, West Virginia, reopened a day after two barges carrying NGLs were stuck in a lock and dam. A towboat pushing three barges hit the wall of the Racine lock on 2 March. They are carrying a combined 3.8mn USG of NGLs. No liquids were spilled, the US Coast Guard said. The lock located northeast of the Kanawha river handles barges shipping millions of tonnes of coal each year.
