Qatargas Achieves Commercial Start-Up At Its Laffan Refinery 2 in Ras Laffan

Doha—Qatar-gas announced commercial start-up of its Laffan Refinery 2 (LR2) project, which will refine 146,000 b/d of condensate from the North Field in Qatar (PCN, 10 Oct 2016, p 3). LR2, located in Ras Laffan Industrial City, produces low sulfur products, which meet Euro V specifications, such as naphtha, jet fuel, ultra low sulfur diesel, propane and butane for local and international markets.
