Collectors like to boast about their biggest and best specimens, and there is some satisfaction in knowing that yours is at the top of the list. Some of my favorite giants reside at the American Museum of Natural History, most notably the Chinese stibnite that is several feet across, and the giant 4.5 ton azurite/malachite-filled block that stands in the center of the exhibit space. I recently learned of several other monsters, and therein lies a story.
