Shell Vaca Muerta Processing Plant Opens

Royal Dutch Shell on Monday officially opened its first oil and gas processing plant in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta Shale. The 10,000 b/d early production facility is located in the Sierras Blancas block in Neuquen province. In a statement, Shell said the plant will eventually take production from the nearby Coiron Amargo Sur Oeste and Cruz de Lorena blocks as well. Shell operates all three blocks.
