How the RPS is supporting science and research in the pharmacy profession

PHARMACISTS, as scientists, know that the clinical decisions they make, and daily work activities they engage in, need to be underpinned by robust research evidence. Most frequently this relates to scientific knowledge about the pharmaceutical properties of specific medicines: the patient populations for which they are known to be safe and effective, the potential for adverse reactions and side effects, their limitations and contraindications.
