Bolosna—Bio-on said it has signed a €55-million multi-license contract with a "major multi-national company" to provide its technology for the construction of a series of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) bioplastic production facilities. The plants, which will be located in Europe and Asia, will each have the potential to produce between 10,000 t/y and 30,000 t/y of PHAs, with an overall output of 100,000 t/y of PHAs.
