Recently in the USSR and abroad, materials have been created which are granulated copolymers of styrene and divinylbenzene - the micropores of which are filled with liquid extractives 1. Neutral phosphoroganic compounds, for example tributylphosphate (TBF), can be used as the extractives. As compared with resins, solid extractives (TVEKSy) are characterized by more favorable kinetics and unlike liquid extractives can be used to recover metals from pulp. It was shown earlier 2-4 that TVEKSy can be used to recover non-ferrous and rare metals. In studying the rules governing the extraction of molybdenum from nitrate peroxide solutions it was found that under identical conditions the coefficients of molybdenum distribution (D_(Mo)) - when extracted with TVEKS - is 1.3-1.5 tines higher than when extraction is conducted with liquid extractives (see Figure).
