Global demand for LNG is set to grow at least twice as fast as for natural gas overall out to 2030, Royal Dutch Shell said Monday, while cautioning that its forecasts were dependent on investment in new production and the decarbonization of the power sector. Presenting its first-ever LNG Outlook in London, the major forecast that demand for LNG -- which stood at 265 million tons last year -- would increase at a rate of 4-5 per year from 2015-30, whereas gas would see annual growth of around 2 over the same period.
