摘要

Arc plasma is widely used in industry. This is a modern technology for production of pure substances and the production of substances in the form of fine powder as well as in the form of hollow spheres with diameters of several dozens of microns. Plasma is also used to apply anticorrosion coatings. However, the arc plasmotrons being used in industry have substantial shortcomings s their arc temperatures depend strongly on the distance of points at which they are measured to the arc axis; the electrodes are subject to intense erosion, which reduces their operation potential; the arc burns unstably and shifts perpendicularly to the axis. Therefore, d.c orlow-frequeney a.c. arcs are essentially impossible to use to purify metallic surfaces. Various methods are used to stabilize arcs, for example, stabilization with a magnetic field 1-3. For a long time, high-frequency current sources were lamp generators. They have low efficiency, are cumbersome, and a high output voltage. Today, transistor generators exist in which the range of authorized industrial frequencies (44, 66, sand 440 kHz) are characterized by the best indices with respect to the above-enumerated parameters.
