OCP confirmed that prices for fourth-quarter contract phosphoric acid to European buyers will decline by an average of around $30/mt 100 P2O5. The company's NW Europe Q3 phosphoric acid price was $790-890/mt CFR which means the Q4 price should be $760-860/mt CFR. Many sources had expected a decline in prices based on recent news that OCP's price to India will fall to $580/mt CFR in Q4 and that spot phosphoric acid deals to European buyers have been made during Q3 from other suppliers as low as $715-720/mt CFR.
