Spot availability expected tight into 2022

Spot prices for sulphuric acid exports from northwest Europe were assessed unchanged on an indicative basis at $190-210/t FOB for the fifth consecutive week, as spot markets remained quiet and availability was tight. The average is at its highest since November 2008, and at $200/t FOB it is up steeply from $25/t FOB at the start of this year and -$10/t FOB in May 2020.
