Bumi boosted by industry first

Malaysia’s Bumi Armada says it has achieved an industry first by?completing the world’s first offload of molten sulphur from an offshore facility to a specialised tanker. Bumi Armada said that the operation was car- ried out by?the Karapan Armada Sterling III (KAS3) Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO), which pioneered “a safe, environmentally responsible, and economic means to monetize offshore sour gas (high H2S) reservoirs.”
