Tribochemistry of materials

摘要

Tribochemistry is the chemistry in a contact junction between either the environment or the lubricant and the rubbing surfaces. The significance of tribochemistry in practical machineries is that it controls the lubrication and corrosion processes of materials. This paper reviews the current understanding and integrates many of the views to provide a coherent picture of tribochemistry works in different materials classes. This is an abstract presented at the 11th Annual Fuels Lubes Asia Conference (Beijing, China 3/15-18/2005).
