Borgsten Dolphin to be scrapped

Norway's Fred Olsen Energy plans to sell the semi-submersible rig Borgsten Dolphin for decommissioning. The rig has been cold-stacked in Invergordon, Scotland after the early termination of its contract with France's Total in 2016. Total hired the Borgsten Dolphin in 2011 for a 40-month campaign to undertake tender support services at the Dunbar platform in the UK Northern North Sea. Before it started the contract, the rig was upgraded and converted to a tender support rig.
