Suncor’s UK Scotney duster

Canada’s Suncor Energy and its partners are plugging and abandoning the UK North Sea Scotney exploration well after failing to find hydrocarbons in the primary target interval. The Scotney well was spudded on Block 20/5b by the semi-submersible rig Awilco WilHunter in January. It was drilled to a true vertical subsea depth of 10,449ft (3,185m).
