Well founded arguments exist in favor of the simplified handling of fluids in machining operations. So it is all the more important that this wish should have been satisfied. Which machining center should be used to produce that urgently required part from brass? Has the free machine also be filled with the correct cutting oil? Users are familiar with such considerations from their daily product planning. An order arrives at short notice and a suitable (and available) machining center must be found. Until now, it was also necessary to take account of the machining fluid or even to change the fluid with which the machine was filled. Not every cutting oil was suitable for machining of different materials. Since the market launch of >Ortho NF-X<, however, this problem has become a thing of the past, according to Motorex, Langenthal/ Switzerland, its manufacturer. Whether high alloyed steels, non-ferrous metals, aluminum or cast iron, this cutting oil is suitable for all materials (Fig. 1).
