Hurricane’s WoS Halifax spud

Hurricane Energy has kicked off the Halifax explo- ration well in the Rona Ridge Area, West of Shetland (WoS). Halifax is located to the northeast of and is con- tiguous to the Lancaster oil field. Well data from the Lancaster oil accumulation taken last year suggested that Lancaster “is likely to extend beyond its licence boundary”.
