Review of the functional urology literature demonstrates that it is not possible to effectively evaluate both male and female patients presenting with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) without the use of a urinary diary. The paper by Bright et al. in this edition of the Platinum Journal documents the validation of such a bladder diary [1].
