Covestro supplies TDI with alternative feedstock to Sinomax

Covestro says it has signed its frst commercial contract for the supply of ISCC Plus certifed polyurethane (PU) raw material toluene diisocyanate (TDI) from mass-balanced feedstock to Sinomax (Hong Kong). Sinomax is a producer of PU-based comfort products. The frst batch of bio-attributed TDI via mass balance is expected to be delivered from Covestro’s integrated site at Shanghai in the frst quarter of 2022 and be applied to Sinomax’s medium- and high-end product lines for mattresses, pillows and mattress toppers, it says.
