摘要

Shell has announced plans to build a 50,000-metric tons/year pyrolysis oil process unit for upgrading waste plastics feedstock at its energy and chemicals park at Pulau Bukom, Singapore, as well as a proposed 550,000-metric tons/year biofuels facility. It is also studying the establishment of a regional carbon capture and storage(CCS)hub at the park. An investment amount for the various projects has not been given. Supply agreements have been signed by Shell with Asahi Kasei(Tokyo, Japan), which will utilize circular chemicals produced at Bukom using the pyrolysis feedstock in the manufacture of tires, and waste management and recycling specialist Environmental Solutions Asia(ESA;Singapore), which will supply 12,000 metric tons/year of pyrolysis oil to Shell for upgrading.
