Get Your Bees There Safely

Last month, in Part One of this article, I discussed who beekeepers are likely to contract with for bee transportation services (i.e., either independent trucking companies as contract carriers; or fellow beekeepers as private carriers); and also, what a contract is, and when it is considered valid under the law. This time I will discuss how to negotiate and draft the specific terms of a motor carrier contract essential for protecting both beekeepers and independent trucking companies against any losses or liability that either might incur during transit of the bees.
