Uncetrtainty and confusion reigned in Asian petrochemical markets last week, as players speculated on the duration and economic outcome of a US-led war on Iraq which started last Thursday. Some players were betting on a short, decisive war, and a US economic rebound thereafter, which could buoy Asian petro-chemical markets and send prices soaring.
