Roche slides into record net loss

ROCHE Holding AG said a welter of one-off charges pushed it into a record net loss of 4.0 billion Swiss francs in 2002 although excluding special items net income was 3.81 billion.The firm expected double digit underlying sales growth in 2003 and stable operating margins.
