Canada crude exports to US Gulf coast double

Canadian heavy crude exports to the US Gulf coast more than doubled last year and accounted for a 6.4pc increase in total crude exports. Canada sent nearly 383,000 b/d of heavy crude to the US Gulf coast in 2015, up from 186,000 b/d in 2014, regulator the National Energy Board (NEB) said. Total crude exports rose to just over 3mn b/d in 2015 from 2.85mn b/d in the previous year.
