The 2010 Golf Environment Awards were presented at Harrogate during the BTME week and were followed by a meal in the Crown Hotel in the company of the sponsors. I don't really think James Hutchinson, Fairhaven Golf Club (Conservation Greenkeeper of the Year) and Colin Webber, Portmore Golf Park (Overall Winner) recognised at this stage what was to come. STRI, working behind the scenes with Matthew Brecht, Territory Manager for Syngenta, had been planning a trip to the GIS show in Orlando and to fivequite varied golf courses in the Orlando region.
