Ramesh Surve hates Vivaldi's Four Seasons. The 18th century masterpiece grates on his nerves, gives him a headache and makes him grouchy. Yet, Surve has tuned into Vivaldi's composition for eight hours - day in, day out. Surve isn't a masochist; he's a liftman. For the past 15 years, Surve has spent his days sitting on a wooden chair, punching buttons (which he does with cold precision and repressed anger) and listening to elevator music.
