Bi-fold doors have been one of the most popular home improvement products of the last decade and over 30,000 bi-fold installations are expected in 2014, according to Palmer research. While wood or PVC was once the product of choice, aluminium has an increasingly large share of this lucrative market and is the first choice for homeowners and architects, especially in installations where cost is not an issue. Over the last 12 years, Origin, the UK's biggest British manufacturer of aluminium folding sliding doors, has experienced exponential growth of 30 per cent year on year. This has been due to the growing popularity of aluminium and the competitive advantage of the company's 'Your Lead Time, Not Ours' service, which eliminates lead times for customers.
