Geosteering tool maps formation layers

The InSite ADR provides a new level of control in the guidance of horizontal wells through the reservoir. The InSite ADR is capable of measuring the resistivity of the formations around the tool in 32 directions and at 14 different distances from the tool (depths of investigation) . This comprehensive mapping of formation layers above, below and around the sensor at multiple distances from the tool is a breakthrough in resistivity technology and is distinguished from other devices that only detect high resistivity contrast.
