Premier Firms Up UK Asset Sale

UK independent Premier Oil has firmed up a $200 million cash deal to sell Perenco its entire non- operated 33.8 stake in licenses PL089 and P534 in the UK, containing the onshore Wytch Farm field. The deal will raise Wytch Farm operator Perenco’s stake to 87.6 from its previous 53.8 stake, alongside partners Ithaca Energy (7.4) and Repsol Sinopec Resources (5). Proceeds from the disposal will be used to pay down Premier’s existing debt.
