Klaipedos Nafta (KN), the state-controlled operator of Lithuania’s Baltic oil terminal of Klaipeda, earned 72.85 million litas ($27.85 million) in the first seven months of 2010 - up 8% from the same period of 2009. The increase was thanks mainly to higher product shipments, which rose 6.7% to 4.69 million metric tons over the seven months. But shipments of fuel oil, gas oil and gasoline dropped in July to 629,300 tons from 634,600 tons a year earlier. Revenues last month fell to 8.9 million litas from 11.4 million litas. KN usually handles products exports from Lithuanian, Belarus and Russian refiners, with Orlen Lietuva - the sole refinery in the Baltics - accounting for most of the shipments.
