China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) said Thursday it has made two oil and gas finds off China. The first, Bozhong (BZ) 2-1, lies west of Bozhong Sag, about 6 km southeast of the existing Bozhong 3-2 oil field. The discovery well BZ 2-1-2 penetrated oil pay zones with total thickness of 50.9 meters. It flow tested at an average of 1,270 b/d of oil and 393 Mcf/d of gas. The well drilled to a total depth of 3,910 meters in water depths of about 26 meters.
