The production of polyurethane materials with the required properties depends in many ways on the correct selection of the composition of the curing system.In the production of cold-curing applied coatings,wide use is made of oligomers of propylene oxide with a molecular weight ranging from 1000 to 5000 [1]and a number-average functionality with respect to hydroxyl groups of 2-3.They are processed via a preliminary stage of synthesis of urethane diisocyanate (prepolymer) with its subsequent structure formation using polyols and diamines,or cyclotrimerisation of the end isocyanate groups [2].It is known that,by appropriate selection of the type and content of curing agent,it is possible to determine the range of properties of urethane elastomers,which is particularly important for the production of coatings of a specific designation [3].In this connection,the aim of the present work was to establish the range of control of the physicomechanical characteristics of polyester urethanes (PEUs) by varying the composition of the curing system.
