RTP launches advanced anti-statics to meet ATEX demands

COMPOUNDING specialist RTP Com-pany has introduced PermaStat PLUS,a line of permanently anti-static compounds with better electrical properties than its existing PermaStat range.PermaStat PLUS compounds are intended for applications with strict conductive requirements,such as those requiring certification to ATEX Directive(94/9/EC).The materials have a consistent surface resistance of 10~7 to 10~8 ohms and a static decay of less than 0.5 seconds.This static dissipative performance makes Permastat PLUS suitable for ATEX applications that need materials with a surface resistance of less than 10~9 ohms.
