摘要

The influence of Ga~(3+) ion doping on the multiferroic properties of BiMnO_3-BaTiO_3 ceramic with a general formula of 50BiMn_(1-x))Ga_xO_3-50BaTiO_3 (BMGx-BT) has been investigated. The Fourier transformation infra-red (FT-IR) spectra revealed that Ga~(3+) addition shows the gradual spectral change associated with the superposition effect of M-O (where M is Mn~(3+) or Ga~(3+)) bond lengths in octahedra. The magnetic study (M-H loop) revealed the transition of para to ferro with the addition of Ga content. The maximum remnant magnetization (M_r) was observed for x = 0.2, ascribed to increment in particle size. The effective ferroelectricity was also found for all the samples, and the highest remnant polarization (P_r) value 0.55μc/cm~2 was noticed at 3.0 kV/cm.
