The relaxation time and distribution parameter of methyl, ethyl, nhyphen;propyl, nhyphen;butyl, and amyl acetates have been determined, as a function of temperature, by measuring the dielectric constant and loss at 250 kHz, 9.00, 19.14, 29.7, and 38.7 GHz. The relaxation time is found to increase from methyl to amyl acetate and the effect of chain length on the relaxation time has been estimated after normalizing for the viscosity variation of different polar liquids. The distribution parameter for all these molecules has been calculated and is found to increase with the chain length. The energy parameters for dielectric relaxation and viscosity processes have been estimated. Entropy of activation is found to be negative for all the molecules.
