One of the first RAF squadrons to arrive in France in September 1939, and among the last to leave in June 1940, was 73 Sqn. Representing the experiences of many British Air Forces in France (BAFF) units in the field, its story is told through the personal account of its squadron adjutant, Fg Off Henry Hall. His unofficial diary transports us back more than 60 years to the "Phoney War" period and the immediacy of events when the Blitzkrieg was launched in May 1940.
