Smallhyphen;angle light scattering (SALS) from uniaxially stretched polyvinylidene fluoride

Films (mostly of Form 2 crystal structure), 50 mgr;m thick, of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVF2) were uniaxially stretched at 60thinsp;deg;C and then annealed at 120thinsp;deg;C. Smallhyphen;angle light scattering patterns (SALS) were taken of the samples in theHvscattering mode (i.e., crossed polarizers). The results show that a fourhyphen;lobe scattering pattern due to undeformed spherulites changes to an eighthyphen;lobe pattern on uniaxial stretching of PVF2films.
