The electromechanical coupling coefficient for the surfacehyphen;acoustichyphen;wave interdigital transducer is defined as the maximum fractional change in the timehyphen;averaged energy associated with a particular mode passing from one periodic section to the next. The result is compared with Berlincourtrsquo;s expression.
