China’s E10 mandate to miss implementation date due to US-China trade war

The nationwide implementation of E10 in China is unlikely to occur on Jan.1,2020,the date Beijing has targeted.China announced two years ago that the nationwide implementation of E10 would occur at the start of 2020 but,since that time,only three northeastern provinces that house corn-ethanol production capacity and the northern city of Tianjin have introduced E10.The general manager of Sinopec subsidiary Sinopec Luoyang stated that E10 sales in the central province of Henan,which introduced local E10 sales in 2004 and where Sinopec Luoyang is located,accounted for just 57 of total gasoline sales in the province last year.
