In the US,four major ethylene production facilities are expected to come onstream this year.Shintech's 500K-mt/y Plaquemine(Louisiana)and Lotte/Westlake's l.OMM-mt/y St.Charles(also LA)plants are expected to have started up during HI.Formosa Plastics's 1.2MM-mt/y Point Comfort(Texas)and Sasol's 1.5MM-mt/y Lake Charles(LA)plants are scheduled for H2 startup.These facilities as well as existing steam crackers have been pushing demand for high-purity PC feedstocks,such as ethane,higher.NGL fractionation capacity is expected to rise by 340K b/d this year and at least 820K b/d next year.During HI 2020 in Chambers County,TX(along the shores of Trinity and Galveston Bays),Targa plans to start up two HOK-b/d NGL fractionators,while Enterprise Products Partners and Energy Transfer each plan to start up 150K-b/d plants.By the end of 2020,Phillips 66 expects to start up two 150K-b/d NGL fractionators in Brazoria County,TX(just south of Houston).In 1Q 2021 in Chambers County,ONEOK expects to bring a 125K-b/d facility online.
